Our RSI SPORTS Group Circular Turf project tackles one of the biggest challenges in artificial turf: what happens at the end of its life?
Our approach combines:
– 100% recyclable PET turf designed for reuse in future turf systems
– Existing artificial turf repurposed into base construction panels
– Reduced base construction depth, helping reduce material use, transport and installation impacts
– Innovative infill solutions adapted to different climate zones
Our goal is to move artificial turf towards a more circular, resource-efficient system.
The next step is testing the system under the FIFA Quality Programme for Football Turf, alongside additional evaluations and end-user feedback. The first pitch is set to be installed in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
