The plastic tiles that form the engineered base are made from reclaimed end-of-life turf. Since each tile holds three times the volume of reclaimed turf as the turf it supports, they significantly reduce the amount of processed end-of-life turf awaiting reuse.
The stabilizing sand sequesters carbon from the atmosphere. A thin layer of one of our three organic performance infills provides natural surface cooling. All infills also meet sports technical requirements.
MONOMERE PRODUCT
The RSI SPORTS CTS carpet is made from PET, the same versatile material used in the beverage industry. This industry produces new deposit bottles up to five times from the same raw material.
This has saved millions of barrels of oil and reduced CO2 emissions by 1.5 to 2.5 times that amount.
PET has been considered by many companies in the artificial turf industry. Ultimately, they pursued producing products in bulk. RSI SPORTS has taken a different approach, leveraging its benefits to deliver long-lasting quality for both athletes and the environment.
With the carpet, fibres, and glue tapes all made from PET, the entire top layer is fully recyclable and reusable. This significantly reduces waste from end-of-life turf and minimizes the energy required for processing separated components and the production of new high-end products.
CULLING END-OF-LIFE TURF
EasyLock Panels hold three times the volume of end-of-life turf they support. Producing EasyLock Panels for a football field requires at least three reclaimed turf carpets. This means that EasyLock Panels contribution to the reduction in end-of-life carpet in ratio of 3 to 1.
EasyLock Panels offer an eco-friendly base for artificial turf sports surfaces, minimizing site disruption and eliminating the need for heavy equipment. The panels also enable water harvesting.
EasyLock Panels surpass the lifespan defined in EN 15330-4, exceeding the standard 16-year expectation the European Norm dictates to shockpads. They maintain durability regardless of heavy foot traffic or maintenance equipment.
Reclaimed EasyLock Panels can be recycled and reused to produce new panels, supporting a circular economy for artificial turf surfaces.
OUR COMPONENTS
Artificial turf carpet
Our artificial turf components – yarns, backing, and glue tape – are made from 100% PET. The system doesn’t compromise on the sports-specific requirements. Using PET as a raw material enables multiple reuse cycles for producing similar products.
EasyLock base panels
Our panels made from processed end-of-life turf, provide player comfort and excellent drainage while minimizing site disruption and installation complexity. They also boast a superior life expectancy.
Olivine stabilizing sand
Olivine is a naturally occurring mineral composed of magnesium iron silicate. It reacts with CO₂ and water, sequestering carbon in the process. Olivine captures up to 1.25 times its volume in carbon.
Organic performance infills
Topped with either cork, walnut shell as a performance infill. These natural materials meet sport-specific requirements while reducing ambient temperature.
