RSI Sports Group successfully completed the first installation of ClimaCore™ in the Netherlands on an artificial turf field at FC Dordrecht. Across an area of 2,500 m², a unique blend of two types of ceramic beads, in a 50/50 ratio, was incorporated as an additive infill layer. ClimaCore™ is a patented technology from RSI Sports Group, specifically developed to structurally reduce heat stress on artificial turf fields. This marks the first time this technology has been applied to a professional artificial turf field in the Netherlands. Heat stress on artificial turf is a rapidly growing problem. Surface temperatures of 60–80°C are not uncommon in the summer, posing direct risks to player safety: heat exhaustion, skin burns, and reduced performance. ClimaCore™ solves this by actively dissipating heat from the playing surface, not by masking the problem, but by fundamentally changing the thermodynamics of the infill layer.
